The Long Man Mag

A Magazine by the villagers and for the villagers

of Folkington, Milton Street and Wilmington

We are pleased to bring you the October 2025 edition of the Villages’ Magazine:

Those of you who are early risers might look up to the sky at around 05:00 on 21st October. There should be a meteor shower visible (called the Orionids) as the earth passes through the the debris left behind by Halley’s comet. Around 16 meteors per hour are expected - so a decent chance to make a wish on a shooting star. As a bonus, there should be no moon to muddy the view. Here’s hoping the clouds also co-operate.
